"Most of the shadows of this life are caused by our standing in our own sunshine." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hi everyone,

I apologize for my long absence, but honestly there just wasn't much of interest going on. There has been lots of office work, small things, but nothing that would have in my opinion merited a blog posting.

In some big news, ProGhana is getting a new member of our team. Kirsty McMahon, one of my previous volunteers is coming from Scotland in Mid- March to join our staff. I will be excited to have her here working and living with me. We are going to do a bit of rearranging with the office and I will have a new roommate. It will be nice to have someone to share dinners with and chat with when it gets boring out here in Cape Coast.

I am going to be bringing the girls to the Volta region (another region of Ghana) for an excursion the first weekend of March. I have never been to this area, so it will be nice for me to see, but it will also be a challenge to make sure the trip runs smoothly with the girls. The highest waterfall in West Africa is located in this region as well as a few monkey sanctuaries and some smaller villages.

That's really about all that's going on right now, trying to swim and get exercise to keep my back in good shape.

I promise I'll take lots of pictures in the Volta region and post them here.

Love to all.
