I am such a girl...

I am brave when it comes to many things I believe, this bravery does not extend to cockroaches.  I walked in tonight after a fairly long day to come face to face with the first of one of these delightful little creatures in my room.  I contemplated the little bugger for a few minutes, considered trying to cover him with a cup and remove him that way, we all know what a horrible idea it would be to try and smash the nasty thing on my bed... But I just couldn't bring myself to get near him.  I thought about it a little more and decided swallowing my pride was the way to go.  I walked to the building connected to mine where a boy's dorm for the engineering college resides (we share a front entry gate).  I knocked on the nearest door and explained the situation, the boy gave me a grin and followed me down the hallway to my room.  I was embarrassed to find myself screeching and literally running away when he didn't catch the roach right away and it was scurrying around the room.  Needless to say after me almost crying and the boy smiling and chasing the yucky thing around the room for awhile, he finally caught him and took him outside for me.  When I walked out to say thank you apparently the boys in some of the other rooms had heard me screaming, how embarrassing.  Cross your fingers for me that I won't have many more encounters with these little guys.
