Hi everyone,
So this weekend was a long one thanks to Kwame Nekruma Day (he was the first president of Ghana after they gained independence). From what I could tell, here in Cape Coast not much happened other then many got the day off of work. That was good enough for me! I have been sick this weekend unfortunately so I didn't get to enjoy all of it, but I am feeling better now thanks to some antibiotics. My visa was set to expire in just a few days so I went down to the immigration office yesterday and today to get it renewed. The process while a bit irritating, really wasn't that difficult and I am now set to go for another three months. I will have to renew it again when December rolls around.
Things are going ok, just busier than last week. I may get a group here from NYU from December 28- January 15th. That means I would be working pretty much non-stop over the New Year and those dates.
My latest source of irritation is the horrible internet connection we have been experiencing. I don't know what the problem is but we are paying a fortune (over $130/month) for a connection that barely lets me check my email sometimes! It's ridiculous and customer service has been atrocious.
Anyway... I think I had better update when I am in a bit of a better mood- maybe after the techs come to fix my internet!
Love to all.
