I always forget how quickly time passes and I keep thinking that no one will be too interested in what's going on here when it doesn't always seem exciting to me... but then I remember how much I like hearing from my friends and family even when there really isn't much to say.
I have been at my new job almost a month now and it's really hard for me to believe it's actually going by really quickly. It helps that I am extraordinarily busy, which I am appreciative of. I like the employees and my boss, so far everyone seems to be pretty good.
I have also been going to boot camp at the embassy on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 5am.... it's early but I have been enjoying the exercise.
My birthday is this Saturday which is normally a work day for me but my boss was nice enough to give me the day off since I did work my weekend... I don't really have anything planned, but I do accept presents by mail :). My new mailing address for those of you who don't know is as if you were shipping to a US postal address because it is now delivered to the embassy, which means no international shipping rates! It also comes to me extremely quickly, so no excuse for not sending cards! My address is on Facebook and for those not on facebook just let me know if you want it and I will provide it.
I also just got my own little studio here in Accra it's just a few minutes away from the embassy and while small, it's nice. I am working now to get it together. It's taking a little time. When it's finished I will post some pictures.
The best news of the month however is that in a few weeks I am going to Greece! One of my best friends is going to fly in to Athens and meet me there and the two of us will be staying in Athens, Santorini, and Milos for 8 days. I could really use the vacation and since she just finished her nursing degree and passed her licensing exam it's great that we can both celebrate and get a vacation together, I am really looking forward to it since I actually have not been in Greece yet.
That's about all the news from here, I am sending my love and hope everyone is doing well.

An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Take care ,Ian
