Bangalore!

Hi everyone,
Well, I arrived in Bangalore yesterday afternoon. The city is about a 3 hour bus ride from my previous location of Mysore. Right now, I am staying with Sam and Whitney (the interns for International Justice Mission I met in Mysore while they were there). They offered me their spare room, though I am not yet sure if I am going to stay with them for the rest of my time in India or try and find a place on my own (this is usually not too difficult, although most places are not furnished which makes it difficult if you are only staying for a short time). Since they are going to Goa for the weekend I will discuss what we are going to do when they get home on Sunday evening or so. It makes it a bit more difficult because I am not yet sure whether I am going to stay in India and write my thesis here or try and go back to Amsterdam. I guess I will figure all of these things out as they come.
My goal for this weekend is to get settled and then try and figure out how to analyze the data from all of my interviews. It seems like there is so much information! I want to get my thesis done as soon as possible though so that I can focus on finding a real job and hopefully even getting a little bit of relaxation in!
Bangalore is a much bigger and busier city than Mysore, which has it's benefits (international cuisine if I want some variety, movie theaters, etc) but at the same time it takes longer to get around, the rickshaw drivers are WAY more difficult to deal with for some reason, and it feels hotter (maybe this is just my imagination ;) )
I am still trying to figure out how to get internet, though I think that should be worked out soon. Hope everyone is well....Love to all of you.
