Hi everyone-
Today was busy but good compared to yesterday. Yesterday I had no water (this is a monthly occurrence so I guess it could be a lot worse!) First thing this morning Lawrence and I made a trip out to a village where one of the schools we do work with is located. At least once a month we do a construction project or something similar to help them improve the school and the environment.
This was my first visit out to this particular school but I really enjoyed it! The kids are so polite and excited to have visitors. (This does not apply to the one little girl I thought was merely shy but was actually afraid of me and cried when I got too close). We visited each class and sat with them for a while, listening to them learn English dictation for the most part. Then we took a small tour around the grounds to see what project ProGhana volunteers can tackle next time we are out there. It was very cool to see something substantial that is done because we are here... makes me remember that the job is worth doing.
This weekend another of my volunteers is heading home, and I have a new one arriving on the 7th of next month... things are busy but going ok. I hope you enjoy the pictures of the kids from today :).
My love to all.
